Who? (Tell us about you. Your name, where you work, etc. Anything relevant to the Application.)
My name is Akshay Sura. I work for a Sitecore end client. I have been working with Sitecore since 2007 and version 5.3.
Why Me? (Here is your chance to explain why people need to vote for you. What contributions have you made to help the community.)
Sitecore community is very unique and close knit community. Over the years I have heard many people complementing the community.
I always believe that sharing is the best way to improve and build the community. In an effort to do so, I keep trying to come up with initiatives to help the community.
If you have knowledge which will help the community, share it!

Thank you for participating in the Core Community Friend Award 2018. We hope this showcases Sitecore developers around the world. We hope to be transparent and democratic.
Sitecore community Rocks! and I am glad I am part of it. I hope to work this coming year to help contribute to the Sitecore Stack Exchange site and hopefully organize SUGCON’s in other countries.
Remember, there are a ton of Sitecore dev’s in the community who contribute in various ways. If you know of someone who helps the community, get them on this site.
Be My friend!
As far as deserving the core community friend award, the person I think most of us would vote for as a no-brainer is Akshay. I remember sitting at one of the MVP Summits and there was a trivia question that came up on the board and there were a number of events listed and the question was which event was Akshay not a part of and the only one on the list was the Olympic Games. Akshay is everywhere, helping everyone, I wonder when he has time to sleep.
Akshay is one of the most forward coming people to help others. He works on different initiatives to organize better things for the community.
