Application for: Corey Smith

Please feel free to comment and interact with the applicant below.

Who? (Tell us about you. Your name, where you work, etc. Anything relevant to the Application.)

I’m Corey Smith, 2017 Sitecore Technologist MVP and Sitecore architect at Perficient. You may know me on Twitter and the Sitecore Slack as @sitecorey.

Why Me? (Here is your chance to explain why people need to vote for you. What contributions have you made to help the community.)

The best thing about being a Sitecore developer is the community. I owe my success with Sitecore directly to the community: the many high quality blogs; the advice I’ve received on Slack; and the answers I’ve gotten on Sitecore Stack Exchange. In my free time, I like to give back to the community in any way I can:

– I write development posts on my blog at https://www.coreysmith.co.
– I’ve presented at Atlanta Sitecore User Group, Sitecore User Group Brazil, Sitecore User Group UAE, Milwaukee Sitecore User Group, and Alabama Sitecore User Group on Helix principles, 2017 SUGCON, and advanced Sitecore MVC development.
– I helped fellow Core Community applicant Keith McCormick organize Alabama Sitecore User Group.
– I love attending Sitecore User Groups to learn more about Sitecore, share knowledge, and make more friends within the Sitecore community. I’m an active member of the Atlanta Sitecore User Group, and attend other user groups as much as possible, both in person and remotely.

Please reach out in-person at Sitecore Symposium, or any time on Slack and Twitter. I love chatting about Sitecore and .NET development.
