Who? (Tell us about you. Your name, where you work, etc. Anything relevant to the Application.)
I am Radical Dave aka SitecoreDave aka Mr. TechFest and many other nicknames and aliases (oh one customer even called me Walker .NET Ranger), but formally, my name is David L Walker and I am a Principal Solution Architect at Clear-Measure.com.
I have been delivering enterprise grade high customer satisfaction customer solutions with Sitecore for over 11 years and Sitecore Certified for over 10 years. I even had a small piece of code make it into the Sitecore JetStream demo app! Other tidbits, I was a Sitecore Architect on a large eCommerce site that had a $6 million dollar sales record and over 1.4 million microsites across 4 countries.
I was a Sitecore 2015 Technology MVP and a 2x (July 2007 – July 2009) Microsoft ASP/ASP.NET awardee, prior to spending 3 1/2 years as a very successful Senior Application Development Manager at Microsoft.
Prior to joining Microsoft, I was also a board member for INETA (International .NET Association) (Vice President, Speakers Bureau – (elected two year term), President of the Tulsa Developers .NET users group, founder and President of the Tulsa SQL Server Group and Tulsa Java Developers Group, and Vice President of the Tulsa SharePoint Interest Group.
I am the Founder and Chairman of the region’s largest and highly successful FREE technical training event, now going on 13 consecutive years, TulsaTechFest.com and TechFests.com, with an average of 750-1000+ attendees. Want to start one in your area? I am more than happy to help that’s what http://TechFests.com is all about.
Since 2015, I am the Founder and President of the Houston Sitecore User Group, many props to our Vice-President Nona Drake for keeping the meetings going as I’ve been on the road.
I have been a Microsoft Certified Professionsal (MCP) since 2003, Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD) and Microsoft Certified Developer (MCSD) since 2005.
Why Me? (Here is your chance to explain why people need to vote for you. What contributions have you made to help the community.)
I was able to present at about 30% of the US SUG’s just this year (Houston, Detroit, Richmond, NYC, Boston, Milwaukee, and Minneapolis), so I hope I got to see you there! I have a personal goal to say that I have presented at them all, so if you have a SUG and need a presenter, just let me know.
I have presented about 120 times now through-out my career, with the highlights being: SUGCON-EU 2017, Sitecore Symposium 2016, SUGCON-NA 2015, Microsoft TechEd in 2008 and numerous other larger regional conferences – VSLive! Dallas!, VSLive! Austin, Music City Code, Code PaLOUsa, Houston TechFest, Little Rock TechFest, Pittsburgh TechFest and many, many more!
I love presenting at regular .NET and Azure User Groups as well. Digital Strategy, .NET Core, Building Intelligent Applications (and Sitecore Sites) with Azure/Machine Learning are just a few of my newest topics besides Sitecore Personalization and Integration, of course.
I have over 15 public GitHub Repos and about 6 or 7 MarketPlace.Sitecore.Net modules listed, all of which I am getting very close (as in 80%-90%) ready to re-release following the Helix Principles and making them fully Habitat compatible.
I have delivered over six blog posts (some even with coinciding YouTube videos) this year with many more on the way and well over 100 hundred all time posts.
I am about to relaunch my personal sites with utilizing .NET Core 2.0 ASP.NET/MVC so stay tuned! In the meantime, you can find my old “Microsoft METRO” themed sites here:

Always available on every channel/network (practically known and seeker of new ones!) and more than happy to help any time day or night, just ask. (Just usually too busy with customer needs to proactively watch for “open ended questions”.)
