Who? (Tell us about you. Your name, where you work, etc. Anything relevant to the Application.)
*waves* Hello everyone, I’m Jeremy. You know – that scary greyscale eye you see staring at you on twitter every so often? That’s me. I’m not really scary though. I’m just a lover of pretty much everything code related, who’s currently working as a developer / consultant type for the awesome Platinum partner Kagool.
Why Me? (Here is your chance to explain why people need to vote for you. What contributions have you made to help the community.)
Why me? Well, other than being just the sort of entertaining nerd you’d like to spend an afternoon debating the finer points of Functional Programming with, it’s blogging largely. I got involved with the community around Sitecore a few years back because I set myself a personal challenge to finally start writing that technical blog I’d been putting off doing for years and years and years. Since my work was mostly to do with Sitecore at the time, that’s mostly what I wrote about. And 150 posts later (mostly about Sitecore), I’ll be honest I may be a little addicted to my blog…
On the back of that I’ve had the chance to speak at a collection of UK user group events in London and Manchester. I’ve discussed varied topics from search to PowerShell and NuGet to performance measurement.
I’m often hanging around on the sidelines of Twitter, Slack and Stack Overflow, waiting for people to ask something I can answer. While I’m not the most active person on these channels (mostly due to British reserve, and having a busy day job) I do make a point of answering anything that’s directed towards me, or on topics I’m knowledgeable about.
But if you have a Sitecore problem, if only I can help, and you can tweet me…
You know the rest 😉
