Who? (Tell us about you. Your name, where you work, etc. Anything relevant to the Application.)
My name is Robbert Hock and I’m a Freelance Senior Sitecore specialist with over 17 years of IT experience, from which almost 10 years of Sitecore experience.
I’m helping Sitecore clients and Sitecore partners, such as digital agencies, across the globe to create immersive experiences across all digital channels for themselves and for their clients. As a Sitecore Architect I’ve been responsible for a large number of Sitecore implementations that vary from campaign websites to multi-site & multilanguage platforms.
I’m one of the founders of the Sitecore User Group Netherlands (SUGNL), co-organizer of SUGCON Europe 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017, and spoke at Sitecore User Groups, the Virtual Sitecore Summit, the Nordic Sitecore Conference and at SUGCON Europe 2017.
For my contributions to the Sitecore community, Sitecore has been awarding me the Sitecore Technology MVP award since 2010.
Why Me? (Here is your chance to explain why people need to vote for you. What contributions have you made to help the community.)
Why me? Good question! I think I’ve been one of earliest community members out there, long ago before the Slack days. Twitter, blogging, User Groups. Like mentioned here above, I’m one of the founders of the Dutch Sitecore User Group (SUGNL), and during the years, we build out the biggest Sitecore community event and brand there is: SUGCON Europe. I actually inspired Mike and Akshay to follow in our footsteps and organize a SUGCON NA (back in 2015).
In 2017, I’ve put in hundreds and hundreds of hours into organizing SUGCON Europe 2017 for the community. Not alone of-course, but with a great team of SUGNL and the Danisch User Group. In 2014 we started with 91 attendees, in 2015 we reached 225 attendees, 2016 we reached 370 attendees and this year we had over 425 Sitecorians in Amsterdam.
What I can add to that, is that I almost did the entire content on the SUGCON website, build a SUGCON bot for the event and even presented at SUGCON Europe 2017 on that topic. And yes, all for the community! đŸ˜‰
Vote for me now!
In 2017 I created the 6th Sitecore Community poster (https://www.kayee.nl/2017/05/17/sitecore-hard-the-new-sitecore-community-poster/) called: Sitecore Hard, cause we all work hard as Sitecore developers and it’s an ode to one of my most favourite movies of all time: Die Hard, where my company name Kayee was inspired from.
