Who? (Tell us about you. Your name, where you work, etc. Anything relevant to the Application.)

My name is Thomas Eldblom and I’ve been an active member of the Sitecore community since the very start of Sitecore.
In 2000 I worked in a small company in a back alley of Copenhagen with a bunch of really smart people. A few years later, we in Pentia developed what was to become Sitecore and I was part of the initial development particularly around the early module functionality such as Forms, Mailing and integrations. Lucky the product has moved a lot since then 🙂

For 14 years I was a part of Pentia where I built numerous solutions and consulted customers and partners worldwide.

During those years I was a 7 time Sitecore MVP and wrote an active blog and spoke at Sitecore conferences worldwide. I am very proud of being a small part of creating the Sitecore community that exists today.

In 2014, I jumped from community to Sitecore. Initially in a tech sales and enablement role but then moved to Product Marketing where I again could service the Sitecore community. During the last years I have been a frequent speaker at worldwide user groups and Symposium.

For two years I wrote and evangelised the very popular Helix guidelines for the development community and built the Habitat example and demo sites.

I have just recently moved to Product Development in a role which is a continuation of the Helix work and which is truly committed to the technical community. My responsibility is Developer Experience which means listening to the tech audience and shaping a compelling and exciting product experience for the developers and IT pros across the Sitecore product range.

Why Me? (Here is your chance to explain why people need to vote for you. What contributions have you made to help the community.)

The Sitecore community has a very big place in my heart and in accepting my new role within Sitecore Product Development it was important to me that I could continue to serve the technical users of Sitecore.

I hope my work with and success of Helix and Habitat speaks for itself and I am committed to continue to provide guidance and tools for the community.
